Welcome to Pulling Threads, the official newsletter of Loose Endings Studio. Pulling Threads is a (semi) monthly publication intended to be a comprehensive look at what is going on in the Loose Endings Studio.

Loose Endings 2013 Round-Up

2013 started with this:

(A lovely project for a wedding that occurred in June of the same year.)

2013 ended with this:

Picture by Rachel Williams(Meet Stuart. His mum commissioned a sweater for him.)

All of the projects/commissions that I worked on in 2013 were a blast to work on (even if tedious at times!) and I am totally pleased with how the year went.

Yarn!

So I mentioned in the last Pulling Threads that I was working on something new for 2014. I’m bursting at the seams to give you the wonderful news. As of this month I have accounts with two lovely independent yarn suppliers that hand-dye their yarn.  Lorna’s Lace’s and Wooly Wonka.

I’ve always loved Lorna’s Laces. My very first pair of crochet gloves were made with their yarn purchased from during my first ever visit to a LYS. Being able to design with their yarn is going to be so much fun!

You may recognize Wooly Wonka yarns from my Lizzie shawl project (the green lace shawl) that I made this year. I fell in love with the Nimue sock yarn the moment my hands touched it. And the colors. Oh my. It’s  going to be a joy making things out of this string…

2014 – A new Year

New yarn, new projects, new designs, new commissions…

It’s already shaping up to be a great year. Commissions that are on the table : Fishtail Lace Gloves, a LotR double knit scarf, several Up-Town Down-Town scarves…

If you want me to make something for you contact me quick, my Spring schedule is starting to fill up!

My hands are going to be busy!

You know you want it

While I haven’t added much to the Etsy shop, there are still some things available if you are looking for quick gifts or just something fun to wear. There will be new items in the Ready-To-Wear shop coming in Febuary/March.
